Summary
Asante has been serving its community in the Rogue Valley for over a century, extending compassionate care and the latest medical services to keep families healthy. Many of its employees and care providers have roots in the area, some spanning generations. The Lesina family is a prime example.
Asante’s roots are in the Rogue Valley where we started over a century ago through community-led efforts. We’ve been compassionately caring for our neighbors ever since, growing with the communities we serve and providing the latest medical care to keep you and your family healthy.
Many of our employees and care providers were born and raised here too, while others chose the Rogue Valley to work and raise their families. For some, working at Asante is a family affair that spans generations.
Scott and Lucy Lesina are the perfect example — a married couple who have been caring for patients at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass for more than 20 years. Scott is a physical therapist and Lucy is an occupational therapist.
“Being part of this community brings us closer to our patients,” says Lucy.
When not working, they enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of the Rogue Valley, hiking its many trails or kayaking on the river.
“Southern Oregon is our home,” says Lucy. “We love to explore the outdoors and promote healthy, active lifestyles, togetherness, and finding the simple things in life.”
Most importantly, their roots start with family.
“We raised our boys here,” says Scott. “We’ve cheered them on at football games and watched them grow. As a family we learned about teamwork, dedication and the importance of contributing to something bigger.”
Scott and Lucy bring that same heartfelt intention to their work. “We love and respect our patients,” says Scott. “We see them as friends and neighbors who love to call this community home.”
Like the Lesinas, Asante’s roots are here, and we’ll be here for your good health, caring for you, and about you, through the years ahead.
At Asante, our roots run deep.
