May 22: “Updates in Palliative Care”

Oncology clinicians and Asante employees are invited to attend Oncology Grand Rounds. Our guest speakers are Eric Roeland, MD and Sarah Lowry, DNP who will present on “Updates in Palliative Care.”
This hour-long CME event takes place at:

Eric Roeland, MD, FAAHPM is a medical oncologist and palliative care specialist at the Knight Cancer Institute. His clinical practice focuses on caring for patients with poorly controlled symptoms and patients with cancer participating in early phase clinical trials. Dr. Roeland’s research focuses on symptom science to improve treatment tolerance and quality of life of patients with symptomatic cancer by identifying, validating and expanding pharmacologic interventions. He is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at OHSU School of Medicine.
Sarah Lowry, DNP, ACNP-BC, AOCNP, ACHPN is a medical oncology nurse practitioner and palliative care specialist at the Knight Cancer Institute. Sarah has been providing palliative care services to the Community Hematology Oncology group since 2014. She is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at OHSU School of Medicine.
