Oncology clinicians, Asante employees and the public are invited to attend Oncology Grand Rounds. Our guest speakers are Chetan Vakkalagadda, MD and Rajat Thawani, MD who will present updates in thoracic medical oncology.

Chetan Vakkalagadda, MD is an OHSU hematologist-oncologist and Associate Professor of Medicine. He treats patients with cancers of the head and neck, lung, nose, mouth, thymus and thyroid cancer. He provides chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. Dr. Vakkalagadda is also involved with clinical trials in lung and head and neck cancers.
Dr. Thawani is a lung cancer expert who treats non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), small cell lung cancer (SCLC), thymic cancers and tumors, and mesothelioma. In addition, he also treats head and neck cancers. He is especially interested in lung cancer in non-smokers, sinonasal tumors, and designing biomarker-driven clinical trials to help patients receive newer, more effective treatments with fewer side effects.
