Oncology clinicians, Asante employees and the public are invited to attend Oncology Grand Rounds. Our guest speakers are Chetan Vakkalagadda, MD and Jeremy Cetnar, MD who will present updates in thoracic medical oncology.

Chetan Vakkalagadda, MD is an OHSU hematologist-oncologist and Associate Professor of Medicine. He treats patients with cancers of the chest, including non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer and thymic cancers. He also treats patients with cancers of the head and neck, including cancers of the nose, mouth, throat and thyroid. His clinic offers chemotherapy, immunotherapy and/or molecular targeted therapy. He is also actively involved with multiple clinical trials in lung, head and neck cancers and offers these if appropriate. He is interested in clinical trial development and improving care delivery. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and attended the ASCO/AACR Vail Workshop during fellowship. He is particularly interested in targeted therapies, having written multiple clinical trial protocols incorporating targeted therapies.
Jeremy Cetnar, MD is an OHSU hematologist-oncologist and Associate Professor of Medicine. He specializes in medical oncology and the treatment of prostate cancer, lung cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer and testicular cancer. He participates in clinical trial research, and is very interested in what happens outside the hospital – the social aspect of cancer.
